Enjoying Ecuador Travel is an experienced tour operator based in Quito, founded in 2015 by Eva Smeets. We are specialized in organizing unique customized private trips all over Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Enjoying Ecuador Travel is not a tour company that just shuttles you around to the standard tourist attractions; we create personalized itineraries adapted to your interests and we show you the hidden gems of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands!

About Eva:

“My name is Eva Smeets and I have been living in the most beautiful and diverse country in the world since 2007: Ecuador! I grew up in the Netherlands and after high school I decided to travel to Ecuador as it always was my dream to go to the Galapagos Islands. So I bought a flight ticket, took some Spanish lessons in Quito, visited the Andes, Amazon and coast regions of Ecuador and I did a couple of months volunteer work in the Galapagos Islands, which was a dream coming true! I immediately fell in love with this beautiful country and after this amazing trip I went back to the Netherlands to study tourism at the Tio University in Eindhoven. In 2007, after finalizing my study, I came back to Ecuador to work as a tour leader leading mainly Dutch, American and Australian tour groups. My plan was to stay for around 6 months, but I never went back to the Netherlands as I simply love living in Ecuador. After my job as a tour leader I worked for a couple of years as an operation and sales manager at a local tour operator and then I decided it was time to start my own tour company: Enjoying Ecuador Travel!

I really have the best job in the world; I make dreams come true and bring experiences to life. Thanks to my experience as a tour leader and extensive traveling on my own, I know Ecuador better than the back of my hand and during my time living in the Galapagos Islands I got to know all the best places, which are included in our Galapagos Island Hopping Tours. I have been to every part of Ecuador and love to share my experiences with our guests. Ecuador is a pretty unknown destination and a lot of people don´t know much about it, but the people who come to Ecuador are amazed by its beauty and diversity.
